COVID-19 Policy
Creating a sacred birthing atmosphere in the time of COVID-19 is absolutely achievable in home and birth center birth. With a few adjustments regarding personal protective equipment (PPE) and heightened attention to hand hygiene, we can all work together to keep everyone healthy.
For all Visits
Provider masked for entire visit, social distancing practiced as much as possible
Hand sanitizer used before and after patient assessment
Physical assessment kept to 5m or less
Labor, Delivery and Postpartum
All providers masked
Labor support plans discussed beforehand and plan made with each family to minimize exposure
Outside family members and friends requested to be masked if they come into the birthing or postpartum space
Birthing mother and partner do not require masking for labor
Telehealth
Telehealth can be used as needed during your care for certain issues that come up prenatally and during your postpartum recovery.
